What is a Chef’s Tasting Menu?
A chef’s tasting menu is designed to showcase the talent, creativity and seasonal selections
of the chef. In order to do this, the chef creates a small portioned multi-course meal
consisting of delicately balanced flavors which progress throughout the menu. The dishes
are comprised of seasonal, sometimes hard to find or difficult to prepare courses that often
have high quality and premium ingredients. The technical aspects of the various cooking
methods are often expressed as the menu progresses course to course. Tasting menus are
often accompanied by wine flights or a selection of wine pairings which complement each
